How 21 & 63 add upto 84 in Yoga
21 and 84 are the two very important numbers in Yoga and Yogic Sciences.
As Sadhguru states, the universe has undergone 84 major creation events, and we are currently living in the 84th creation.
Out of these 84 instances of creation, 63 have fully dissolved, while 21 still have some degree of existence.
Hence, the number 21+63=84. In all of Sadhguru’s Yoga Programs, the Kriya has to be done for 21 minutes or in 21 ways.

Significance of number 84
In the universe, every thing is by design. Hence, in classical yoga 84 is the number of Yogasanas or 84 postures.
Through practice of the asanas one can transform his body and mind into a great possibility for ultimate wellbeing.
According to Hinduism, the immortal soul, or atman, passes from one body to another after death.
The ultimate goal is to achieve Moksha, liberation from this cycle through spiritual practices and self-realization, thereby ceasing the process of rebirth.
As Sadhguru explains, 84 years is the number in which approximately 7 solar cycles or 1008 lunar cycles are completed. It is an age where one can escape the cycle of birth and death and attains Moksha.
